Tips to Qualify Competitive Examination


Masters in business administration (MBA) is not only a profitable degree but also adds a symbol of respect and reputation to your personality, besides adding an additional higher education qualification to your educational certificates. Pursuing MBA from a reputed university or college is a wise decision because at the end of the day it is all about your career. To get admission in any of the top MBA University or institute, it is very important to pass the competitive examinations conducted by the university. For example- the CAT, common admission test which is worldwide recognized as one of the toughest examination. Preparing for common admission test is a sustained process and requires a good planning in order to have a thorough preparation that too in a short time period.

CAT has today attracted people from various academic fields be it science, humanity or commerce. Due to the growing success of the same as a career option, every year the strength of candidates appearing for MBA exams such as CMAT and cat has also increased. Cat 2012 will be coordinated by the Indian institute of management (IIT), Kozhikode from October 11, 2012 to November 6, 2012. The all India council for technical education (AICTE) conducts the common management admission test (cmat) as an entrance test for admission to 4,000 colleges or more that offer MBA and 500 colleges which run postgraduate diploma in management programs. As per the cmat latest announcements, the CMAT 2013 is expected to be administered to at least about 400000 candidates all over India and abroad whereas cmat 2012 was taken by around 70000 students in its first year.

The test is scheduled to be conducted within a 5 day test window starting from 21st February 2012 and ending on 25th February 2012 in 64 cities. The candidates have the option of selecting the date and city for appearing in the test according to their convenience. The exam pattern is divided into 4 sections namely quantitative techniques and data interpretation, logical reasoning, language comprehension and general awareness.
